Leggy

9.27.2005
To steal a little thunder from Michael, yes I'm an attention whore, I thought I'd show off my running legs. Don't look at my face because that's kinda scary, but the legs. Hot damn. This was coming off a 16 mile run where there was a 1 mile incline that seemed to go on forever. I hurt my butt. The guy I ran in with is trying to qualify for Boston. I'll try and do that my next marathon.

Wha?

So I came home after my run today and got on the scales for fun because that's what my fun consists of nowadays. Randomly hopping on the scales. Anyway I looked at what I weighed and said out loud "wha?" because the scale said I weighed 179.6 lbs. I got on again to double check and lo and behold it said the same thing. I've never seen my weight like that before, so it kind of took me for a loop. I'm happy though. I just want to keep it up, or down, until my next marathon.

Another race

9.26.2005
I ran my first 10k on Sunday. I wasn't really expecting to run it, but I thought I'd do it for fun. This coming off the night before where I went to a party, and well, partied. My splits for each mile were really inconsistent, but I still managed a pretty time for the race. I finished in 44:15. I was 51st overall and 7 in my age division. Not bad for my first 10k.

bits and pieces

9.20.2005
A few weeks ago I ran into a coworker who asked me, "Are you Jay Jacinto?" I hesitantly said "yes," to which he replied "I heard about you in Japan." I am now famous among Japanese engineers in Japan as my reputation now proceeds me. I am a god to them.

I was driving to a track workout the other day and passed by a car dealership. On one of their display windows in giant neon letters were the words "EMPLOYEE DISCO." I then drove down a bit further and saw the adjacent window which said "UNT."

I weigh 183 lbs. I'm going to get down to 170 before my next marathon.

I had a weird dream the other night. I cleaned my Jeep.

I have a new duffel bag. This probably is the bestest duffel bag in the world. It's got so many pockets you could spend an entire day trying to fill them with stuff. The bag is rightly sitting on a pedestal under some spotlights to display its munificence.

I love honey.

Where'd all the good people go?

who dat?

I've been avoiding my blog. I don't know why.

I had a peach the other day that tasted like a coconut.

My best friend is getting a divorce. :(

I'm running a lot in preparation for my next marathon. I'm pretty tired, but I don't think I'll stop now.

I'm working graveyard shifts starting tomorrow for about a week and a half. Oh joy. I'm going to be grumpy.

I'm going to see Bob Saget on Sunday.

Oh yeah.
