The Bangles were right

Today isn't going as well as it should be, but things could be worse. My car wouldn't start this morning for whatever reason, so I had it towed to my mechanic. The whole process took about two hours, not necessarily bad but inconvenient. I'm just waiting for the verdict on my car now. I also forgot to bring my contact lenses with me, so I'm going to be running blind today, another minor inconvenience.

My head's been hurting the past couple of days. I think I might be coming down with something, but my body is doing its best to try and fight it off.

I ran 18 on Saturday. I started off at a pretty good clip and was averaging around 7:45 pace until mile 15 where I got tired and had to back off a bit. It wasn't really fun running around on pavement again either. The next day I did a run of 9 miles. I went to the track and did 3 there plus another 6 out on the trail. I took it nice and easy. Today I'm doing 4 nice and slow and later tonight I'll be headed to boxing. My legs are again really tired right now. I'm anxious to get my feet in a pair of racing flats that I tried on yesterday. Hopefully I'll get them tomorrow morning at the track workout.

There was a fundraising party on Saturday and I went as Arthur Dent from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was a really easy costume to put together since I only needed to buy a bathrobe. Everyone thought I was Hugh Heffner when I showed up though. Oh well. I got really buzzed that night and had a terrible headache the next day. I didn't run until when into the afternoon. I forgot about the time change and night came before I knew it. Good thing I picked up a headlamp from REI.

I need some tea.
